Aibek Junushaliev, the mayor of Bishkek, announced plans for the construction of a new racetrack near the Osh market. At a press conference, he noted that residential buildings, kindergartens, schools, clinics, and stadiums will also be built near the bus station and market.
According to the mayor, it is important for the workers of the market and bus station to be able to live nearby. In particular, construction of residential complexes and infrastructure will begin on a 234-hectare plot located opposite the new bus station.
Initially, it was planned to place the racetrack in the village of Voenno-Antonovka, where there are more than 200 hectares of free land. However, after conducting geological studies, it was found that the soil in this area is not suitable for the construction of such structures. As a result, it was decided to move the construction of the racetrack to the new Osh market, the mayor added.
