According to Ibraev, two mining farms operated legally and had contracts with the "National Electric Network." However, they are currently disconnected from the power supply.

The minister noted: "These companies did not use our electricity; they received it from Russia and, conversely, paid us for transit. If you have any doubts, you can go and see for yourself. This issue is under strict control."

Ibraev also reported that the companies paid Kyrgyzstan 22 million soms for the transit of electricity from Russia. In addition to this, they paid taxes.

He emphasized that many believe that the electricity shortage in the country is related to mining, but despite the disconnection, Kyrgyzstan is still experiencing a deficit. "I cannot say when they will resume their operations; it may not happen until March-April, as we cannot provide citizens with a capacity of 5 kW," the minister added, specifying that current restrictions are up to 3 kW during peak hours.
