Andrey Belousov, the Minister of Defense of Russia, at a recent meeting with permanent members of the Security Council, chaired by President Vladimir Putin, stated the need for an immediate start to preparations for full-scale nuclear tests. He noted that the Central Polygon in Novaya Zemlya is ready to conduct such activities in the shortest possible time.

Vladimir Putin instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, intelligence agencies, and other civilian departments to develop coordinated proposals for the initiation of preparations for the tests. The President emphasized that this issue requires careful consideration and should be presented in the form of a unified report.

The head of state added: "It is necessary to gather additional information, conduct an analysis at the Security Council site, and present coordinated proposals for the commencement of work."

We remind you that at the end of October, U.S. President Donald Trump also announced the start of preparations for nuclear weapons testing, explaining that other countries are already actively engaged in similar programs.

He wrote on the social network Truth Social: "I have instructed the Department of Defense to begin testing our nuclear arsenal on equal terms. This process will start immediately."
