Trump stated: "Russia understands that we have the best nuclear submarine in the world right next to them. We do not need missiles with a range of 8,000 miles. They know we are not playing games, and they shouldn't do that either."
At the same time, the president noted that while the U.S. continues to conduct missile tests, modern submarines reduce the significance of long-range missiles.
Critically commenting on Vladimir Putin, Trump urged him to focus on ending the armed conflict that was supposed to last only a week but has already been going on for almost four years, instead of demonstrating missile capabilities.
Earlier, Russian media reported on the tests of the "Burevestnik" missile, which took place on October 21. According to these sources, the missile covered a distance of about 14,000 kilometers in 15 hours. It is also reported that the missile is equipped with a small nuclear reactor, allowing it to stay in the air for several days.
