In South Korea, against the backdrop of the Asian summit, U.S. President Donald Trump will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping next week, reports Kazinform.
According to The Washington Times, Trump initially hesitated about this meeting, considering the recent restrictions imposed by China on the export of rare earth elements, as well as the rising trade tensions between the two global economies.
However, Trump believes that this meeting could have a positive impact on bilateral relations.
“I am confident that we will be able to reach an agreement,” noted the U.S. president.
