At an event in Caracas, Maduro spoke in English, stating: "No to war, only peace - forever. No crazy war. Please, please," addressing Trump.

Meanwhile, the U.S. president in his recent statements hinted at the possibility of launching a ground operation against drug cartels in Venezuela, accusing the country's government of "flooding" the U.S. with illegal migrants and drugs.

Trump also confirmed information published in The New York Times that the White House had authorized the CIA to conduct covert operations aimed at destabilizing Maduro's regime. In response, Venezuelan authorities condemned these actions, calling them a serious violation of international law.

In September of this year, the U.S. began destroying boats off the coast of Venezuela that, according to Washington, were used for drug trafficking. Additionally, NBC reported that American military officials are considering options for strikes against drug traffickers within Venezuela, which could be carried out in the coming weeks.
