The operation of all mining farms in Kyrgyzstan has been temporarily suspended, as reported by Kamchybek Tashiev, who is the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and the head of the State National Security Committee (GKNB).

This decision was made in collaboration with representatives of the energy sector.

Tashiev emphasized that until the end of March, no mining farm will be able to operate on the territory of the republic. In case anyone attempts to launch their farm, strict punitive measures will be applied, he noted.

Previously, the Minister of Energy, Talaibek Ibraev, also stated in an interview that due to the shortage of electricity, a decision was made to completely disconnect all mining farms in the country.
