According to the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Jalal-Abad region, law enforcement officers received information about the illegal storage of firearms in the home of a citizen named "Almaz" in Manas.
This information was registered by the investigative service of the Internal Affairs Department in accordance with Article 267 of the Criminal Code, leading to the initiation of a criminal case.
As a result of the investigation, a 49-year-old resident of the city of Manas, A.Zh., was identified. During a search conducted with a court order, investigators seized:
- one firearm;
- 72 rounds of 12-gauge ammunition;
- 41 rounds for a TOZ-8 weapon;
- one pistol resembling a gas-traumatic weapon.
Ballistic examinations have been appointed for the seized materials. The suspect was detained and placed under arrest for 48 hours, and investigative activities are currently ongoing.
