The head of the government discussed the development of hockey and winter sports with IIHF

In the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, a meeting took place where the Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev met with a delegation from the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), which included IIHF Council member Franz Reindl and Finance Committee member Clifton Rottlesley. This was reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers. Kasymaliev emphasized the importance of holding the Youth World Ice Hockey Championship in Bishkek, calling this event a significant step for the country and a sign of trust from the IIHF, confirming Kyrgyzstan's status as a reliable partner.

He noted the unifying power of sports and expressed hope that the youth team would continue its successful development, which has been observed since 2022.

The head of the Cabinet assured that the government would continue to support the development of winter sports, including infrastructure renewal and athlete training.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Franz Reindl and Clifton Rottlesley received Certificates of Honor from the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic for their significant contribution to the development of hockey on the international stage.
