Deputies raised issues regarding visas with Egypt and violations upon entry into Uzbekistan

During the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Kunduzbek Suimanov voiced concerns related to crossing the border with Uzbekistan. He reported that drivers noted that upon entering the country, the tinting on their vehicles is removed.

“Taxi drivers returning from Uzbekistan do not undergo the licensing procedure, do not provide medical certificates, and do not pass technical inspections. This requires attention,” he emphasized.

Deputy Foreign Minister Almaz Imangaziev assured that these issues will be investigated.

Deputy Bolot Saginayev also raised the issue of the difficulties faced by students going to study in Egypt. Many of them experience challenges in obtaining visas and are forced to turn to Saudi Arabia, where there are also problems with document processing.

Imangaziev added that an embassy will be opened in Egypt by presidential decree, which will begin its operations this year.
