Cooperation in the field of expert-analytical, humanitarian, and scientific-educational spheres plays a key role in the relations between Kyrgyzstan and China. This interaction becomes particularly important as it fosters a better understanding between the peoples of the two countries. The participants were welcomed by the Secretary of State of the Kyrgyz Republic Arslan Koichiev, the rector of KNU Professor Dogdurbek Chontoey, the Ambassador of China to Kyrgyzstan Liu Jiangping, the President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Gao Xiang, the Deputy Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Karim Khandzha and the Minister of Science, Higher Education, and Innovations of the Kyrgyz Republic Gulzat Isamatova. Scholars and experts from both countries shared their thoughts on joint development and deepening mutual ties.
Karim Khandzha emphasized that the university named after J. Balasagyn plays an important role as a scientific-educational center and a platform for knowledge exchange necessary for the development of Kyrgyz-Chinese cooperation in a new era.
- We highly value the trusting relationships that have developed with our Chinese colleagues, and the interaction between our countries based on the principles of sovereign equality, - noted Khandzha. – The decisions made at the 4th plenary session of the CPC Central Committee are of interest to the Kyrgyz side and represent valuable analytical and practical experience.
- The expert, scientific, and analytical dialogue between our countries will help in making well-considered decisions and deepening mutual understanding, - added the Deputy Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh. - We are confident that today’s briefing will serve as an effective platform for exchanging opinions and strengthening trust, as well as for discussing new initiatives aimed at further deepening Kyrgyz-Chinese cooperation.
Gao Xiang, in turn, reported that last year, during the meeting of the leaders of the two countries, the academy signed a memorandum with the National Institute of Strategic Initiatives under the President of Kyrgyzstan, which should deepen the strategic partnership. Kyrgyzstan is currently actively implementing the National Development Plan until 2030, demonstrating its commitment to sustainable development.
- China will be a reliable friend and partner of Kyrgyzstan, ready to work together on the implementation of our cooperation plan, - noted the President of the CASS.
Gao Xiang also emphasized the uniqueness of the decisions made at the 4th plenary session of the CPC Central Committee, noting their significant importance for the governance and development of the country.
- The development and implementation of long-term plans is an important experience of the CPC that has contributed to the outstanding achievements of Chinese modernization. The five-year plans that the CPC consistently implements create institutional advantages and allow for the concentration of resources on achieving key tasks, - he said.
Gao Xiang pointed out that the upcoming 15th five-year plan (2026-2030) will be decisive, as the country seeks to strengthen its positions in various directions to achieve socialist modernization.
He also noted that the socio-economic development of China in the new era has become a real miracle, attracting the attention of the whole world. The decisions of the plenary session are important from this perspective.
- The CPC has managed to unite the people of the country to overcome difficulties and achieve significant results, such as rapid economic development and long-term social stability. The historical process of the revival of the Chinese nation has become an integral part of this success, - added Gao Xiang.
He compared the Chinese economy to a vast ocean that continues to develop steadily despite difficulties. Over the past five years, the Chinese economy has crossed several significant milestones, and the quality of its development is constantly improving.
- Modernization has achieved significant successes and opened new prospects for developing countries, - concluded Gao Xiang.
In his opinion, the successes of Chinese modernization create new opportunities for the whole world.
- The development of China is connected with the world, and the prosperity of the world is impossible without China. The CPC strives to link the development of the country with global processes, which contributes to overall development, - emphasized Gao Xiang.
This idea was also voiced by the Ambassador of China Liu Jiangping, who noted her country’s desire to share the fruits of development based on openness and mutually beneficial cooperation.
- Last year was a year of active development of Chinese-Kyrgyz relations. Cooperation within the framework of the "Belt and Road" is strengthening, and the volume of bilateral trade is expected to reach $27.2 billion by 2025, which is 20 percent more, - she said.
Liu Jiangping noted that regular meetings between the Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping and the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov play a key role in strengthening bilateral relations.
The participants of the event emphasized that the exchange of opinions and in-depth analysis of the interaction between the two countries open new horizons for strategic partnership. As part of the briefing, a cooperation agreement was signed between KNU and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. There was also an exhibition of scientific works by leading Chinese scholars and the opening of the "Book House of the Works of General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping."
