The Prime Minister initiated this bill. The information about it was presented by Eldar Sulaymanov, who holds the position of Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security, and Migration of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The aim of the project is to improve access to safe water and sanitation in 126 settlements located in the Osh, Chui, and Issyk-Kul regions. The total funding for the program amounts to 200 million dollars, of which 20 million dollars will be provided by the OPEC Fund for International Development.
The terms of the loan are as follows:
- term — 20 years;
- grace period — 5 years;
- interest rate — 1.25% per annum.
