The diplomat characterized this as interference in the affairs of the state.
On February 10, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia to Kyrgyzstan, Sergey Vakunov, stated that the sanctions imposed by Western countries against the banks and companies of the country have no basis.
According to him, this position is shared by the governments of Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
Vakunov noted that Bishkek has repeatedly reached out to representatives of the Council of Europe with a request to assess the activities of Kyrgyz companies that found themselves under sanctions, but there has been no response from European colleagues.
"Such sanctions pressure is an interference in the internal affairs of the state and can lead to serious negative consequences for its economic development," the diplomat emphasized.
It is worth adding that earlier information emerged that the new EU sanctions against Russia could affect "Keremet Bank" and JSC "Capital Bank of Central Asia" from Kyrgyzstan.
