President Japarov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to the development of cooperation with Tajikistan based on mutual respect and consideration of each other's interests. He also noted that the first meeting of the Kyrgyz-Tajik Intergovernmental Council, which took place today, will become a significant institution for the effective implementation of the tasks set.

In addition, he highlighted the importance of joint efforts to combat transnational threats such as terrorism, religious extremism, organized crime, and drug trafficking.
Kohir Rasulzoda conveyed greetings and best wishes from the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, noting the high economic indicators of Kyrgyzstan, which are among the best in the region. He emphasized that thanks to constructive dialogue and political will, relations between the two countries have reached a new level. The signing of the state border agreement was an important step that laid the foundation for strong friendship and trust.
