Today, February 16, a hearing will take place in the Administrative Court of Bishkek regarding the lawsuit against the Central Election Commission concerning its decision to cancel the repeat elections in district No. 13. This decision was made on February 13, as confirmed by the CEC, but the initiator of the lawsuit has not yet been revealed. It is known only that they represent the interests of one of the 23 candidates who participated in the repeat election process.

The session is scheduled for 14:00.

We remind you that the Central Election Commission previously reviewed its decisions regarding the results of the early elections in district No. 13. At the meeting on February 13, the CEC recognized the elections as valid, overturning the previous ruling.

As a result, the deputies elected were Aibek Altynbekov, Talant Mamytov, and Aigul Karabekova, while the results of the voting for Baktybek Sydykov were declared invalid. The decision to hold repeat elections, scheduled for March 1, was also canceled.

Earlier, on December 3, 2025, the CEC annulled the registration of all 14 candidates in district No. 13 due to violations related to the installation of cameras by observers at polling stations, which violated the principle of voting secrecy. Subsequently, repeat elections were organized, in which 23 candidates registered.
