At the last meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, the candidacy of Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov for the position of head of the State Committee for National Security was approved.

He was presented by the new representative of the president and government, Bektur Zulpiev, on February 18.

Deputy Yrysbek Atazhanov proposed to support Shabdanbekov's candidacy without discussion, citing his busy schedule.

During the voting, 79 deputies expressed their support, and no one voted against, with 88 registered participants.
