A solemn ceremony was held in Bishkek during which musical instruments were handed over to vocal-instrumental ensembles (VIA) of educational institutions related to culture and art. The event took place in front of the National Historical Museum and was organized as part of the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic's annual meeting.
Since June 2025, a project has been implemented to create VIAs aimed at supporting young musicians, developing musical culture, and expanding the creative opportunities of educational institutions.
As part of this project, 21 educational institutions across the country were selected, for which quality musical instruments were purchased. All instruments underwent technical checks and are ready for use.
The Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy, Mirbek Mambetaliev, reported that about 20 million soms were allocated for the project, and each set of instruments cost approximately 1 million soms, including taxes. In Bishkek, institutions such as the Kyrgyz State University of Culture and Arts named after Beishenaliev, the Kureneev College, and the Abdrayev Boarding School were chosen.
Schools in regions where the personnel potential allows for the creation of VIA groups were also selected. This year, it is planned to purchase another 30 sets of similar instruments for other schools, and next year about 50 sets. Thus, over two years, all musical institutions in the republic will be provided with the necessary equipment.
This initiative aims to create modern conditions for the development of ensemble performance and to raise the level of national pop-instrumental art.
