In Kyrgyzstan, the approach to combating criminal and corrupt practices will undergo changes. The new head of the GKNB, Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov, stated in an interview with VB.KG that the agency will no longer engage in demonstrative arrests and creating loud PR.
According to him, the agency will follow the directives of President Sadyr Japarov, focusing on professionalism and calmness in its activities.
Shabdanbekov emphasized that "special services must remain in the shadows," and the method of "intimidation" has become a thing of the past. The main focus will be on anti-corruption policy conducted in accordance with procedures and ensuring the inevitability of punishment without unnecessary noise," he added.
