The checkpoint "Kyzyl-Kiya" of the Batken Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Regional Development did not allow seedlings from Uzbekistan to pass through, as they did not undergo quarantine phytosanitary control. This information was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Water Management and Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The entire batch, consisting of 80,520 seedlings, was prohibited from being imported into the country. This decision was made based on the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution dated February 13, 2026, No. 103, which imposes a temporary ban on the import of seedlings of fruit and berry crop varieties into the territory of the republic. As a result, the specified cargo was returned to the exporting country because the import of seedlings of the listed varieties was not permitted under this resolution.
