At a press conference on March 8, held during the session of the National People's Congress, Wang Yi, China's Foreign Minister and member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, emphasized the situation surrounding the military actions of the United States and Israel against Iran.
According to him, China maintains a neutral position and strongly demands an immediate ceasefire, stressing that the use of force is unacceptable.
“Weapons are instruments of evil, and their use requires special caution. This war should never have started and will bring no benefit to anyone,” noted Wang Yi.
The minister also outlined five key principles for resolving the conflict, among which respect for the territorial integrity of the Gulf countries is important. He warned external forces against interfering in the region's affairs.
“Attempts to provoke color revolutions and change power structures will not be supported by the people,” he emphasized at the end of his speech.
