Talantbek Imankulov has officially become the mayor of Karakol, according to information provided by the press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan.
The decree on his appointment was signed by the country's president, Sadyr Japarov.
Previously, Imankulov held high positions in government institutions, including a leadership role in the Ministry of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic and the National Investment Agency. His experience at the republican level suggests that he will be able to effectively implement infrastructure projects and develop the city's tourism potential.
It is also worth noting that by another presidential decree, Kanibek Adiev was relieved of his position as mayor of Karakol; however, the reasons for his rotation and information about his new job were not disclosed in the official announcement.
