Currently, Nurgazy Nishanov, who previously held the position of a member of parliament and head of OJSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz," is being interrogated at the Main Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This information has come from sources within law enforcement agencies, according to data from Kaktus.media.

The interrogation is related to the investigation of a criminal case concerning corruption involving OJSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz."

Nishanov represented the "Respublika - Ata-Jurt" party in the Jogorku Kenesh of the VI convocation and became the chairman of the board of "Kyrgyzneftegaz" after the end of his parliamentary career, which concluded following the events of 2020. In April 2023, he was re-elected to this position.

According to sources, Nishanov may be detained after the interrogation.

Previously, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the initiation of a case under Article 336 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic "Corruption," concerning possible violations in the activities of "Kyrgyzneftegaz."

The investigation was initiated after media reports surfaced featuring video materials from the State Tax Service, which mentioned possible illegal actions by the company's employees.

According to the investigation, employees of OJSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz" may have abused their official positions in collusion with other companies, creating illegal schemes for the sale and distribution of fuel and lubricants. The Ministry of Internal Affairs also emphasized that against the backdrop of rising prices for fuel and lubricants in the country, conditions were created that facilitated the illegal enrichment of certain affiliated companies.

Currently, investigative actions are ongoing with the participation of specialists from the State Tax Service.
