- In Kyrgyzstan, the issue of increasing the fuel limit for official transport of village leaders is on the agenda. This is related to the recent consolidation of territories. Bakyt Ryspaev, Deputy Director of the Union of Local Self-Government under the Ministry of Economy, shared this information on the radio.

According to Ryspaev, previously about 250 liters of fuel were allocated per month for official vehicles. However, the unification of several regions has led to a significant increase in territory, creating the need for more frequent trips between villages.

“Currently, negotiations are underway with the State Agency to increase the limit to 750 liters per month. This will allow village leaders to more effectively visit all settlements and maintain contact with local residents,” he noted.

In addition, measures to increase salaries are being considered. Ryspaev reported that a meeting took place last week with the director of the relevant state agency, during which an instruction was given to raise salaries for village leaders in the near future, as well as for regular employees based on the results of the first half of the year.
