Snow with blizzards and rising temperatures expected in most of Kazakhstan

Kazhydromet reports that in the coming days, Kazakhstan is expecting a cyclone that will move from the Mediterranean Sea. As a result, snowfall with blizzards is forecasted for most of the country, while rain and snow are possible in the west, south, and southeast.
According to the forecast, on January 3, heavy snowfall is expected in the northwest, and on January 5, precipitation will intensify in the southeast. Icy conditions, fog, and gusty winds are also predicted across the country.

Temperature conditions will vary: in the west of the country, nighttime temperatures may reach from 0 to -8 degrees, while during the day they will range from -5 to +2 degrees. In the central part, temperatures are expected to drop to -10 to -18 degrees at night and to -5 to -12 degrees during the day. In the south, nighttime temperatures will fluctuate from 0 to -10 degrees, and during the day from -2 to -6. In the southeastern regions, nighttime temperatures will be from 0 to -5, in the mountains from -8 to -13, while during the day they will change to -3 to -2. In the east of the country, an increase in temperatures to -5 to -13 degrees is also forecasted at night, while during the day a decrease to -5 to -10 degrees is expected.
