BAYARMAGNAI Erdene
Bayarmagnai Erdene, a renowned livestock breeder from the Erdene sum in the Dornogovi province, has become the owner of 1004 camels, according to the latest livestock census conducted at the end of 2025. This was reported by MiddleAsianNews.

Since 1979, Bayarmagnai has been engaged in animal husbandry and switched to camel breeding in the 1990s when, as a result of privatization, he managed to acquire more than 20 of these animals.

Today, his herd includes more than 300 female camels, of which over 40 produce milk. Bayarmagnai processes and sells khormog — a traditional Mongolian fermented milk drink — as well as other products made from camel milk.

According to the livestock census, by the end of 2025, the total number of horses in the country reached 5.1 million (an increase of 9.5%), cattle — 5.4 million (an increase of 7.2%), camels — 501.3 thousand (an increase of 4.3%), sheep — 23.9 million (a decrease of 2.6%), and goats — 23.2 million (an increase of 1.1%).
