On January 2, a major fire occurred in a dormitory for foreign students in Bishkek, which was completely extinguished by midnight, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Fortunately, no one was injured.
The fire broke out in the evening, and emergency services were notified. The dormitory is located in the Pervomaisky district of the capital.
Five fire crews, an aerial ladder, and a special operational group from the Crisis Management Center were deployed to combat the fire. During the evacuation, 150 students were quickly led out of the building.
The fire was completely extinguished at 23:46. The total area of the fire was approximately 380 square meters.
