At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on January 21, the First Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies Nursultan Kubanov reported that about 100,000 citizens are facing issues with obtaining double or triple PINs. This became a topic of discussion in connection with a draft law aimed at correcting this situation.

According to the Deputy Minister, there were initially about 300,000 such citizens, but 200,000 of them have already had their PINs annulled.

Deputy Bekeshev asked what happens to the PINs of deceased individuals.

Kubanov explained that a PIN is assigned to each citizen at birth and is automatically annulled upon death.

However, Bekeshev expressed confusion as to why deceased individuals continue to appear on voter lists.

“Some voters told me about this. At first, I didn't believe it, but one woman showed documents for her deceased daughter, and another for her husband, who also passed away. Both are listed. There are many such cases. Why is there a problem with data synchronization? Why isn’t information about the deceased removed immediately? Government agencies need to be more attentive,” the deputy noted.

Kylimbek Madalbekov, a representative of the state enterprise "Kyzmat," reported that up-to-date lists were used in the last elections, including data from the civil registry system. He urged relatives of deceased citizens to contact the agency to resolve this issue.
