On January 20 in Bishkek, a working meeting took place where the Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan, Talaybek Ibraev, discussed issues related to the construction of the Kazarman Hydroelectric Power Station with representatives of the Open Joint Stock Company "Central Asian Investment Holding," including board member Gezer Selchuk and chairman Sur Mukhammet Haluk.

During the meeting, a presentation was made on the preliminary feasibility study of the project, and important nuances regarding its implementation were discussed.

Representatives of the OJSC "CAIH" reported on the current progress of work and key results achieved at the stage of preparing the feasibility study. Issues of coordination and interaction within the framework of existing investment agreements were discussed.

Ibraev noted that the implementation of this project is crucial for the development of the country's hydropower sector and enhancing energy security, emphasizing the importance of adhering to deadlines for the work.

It should be noted that on August 2, 2025, an investment agreement was signed between the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and OJSC "Central Asian Investment Holding" for the construction of the Kazarman cascade of hydropower plants.

The project includes the design, construction, and operation of new hydroelectric power stations, as well as the generation of electricity.

OJSC "CAIH" is interested in implementing a project that includes three hydropower stations:

Alabugin Hydroelectric Power Station - 600 MW;

Kara-Bulun-1 Hydroelectric Power Station - 149 MW;

Kara-Bulun-2 Hydroelectric Power Station - 163 MW;

The total capacity will be 912 MW.

According to the agreement, investments in the project are planned at the level of 3 billion dollars, and the entire amount will be provided from the investor's own funds without state financing involvement.
