Arthur Sedov, who lives in Bishkek and is an expert in sport fishing, recently showcased his new catch.

At 28 years old, he already has 18 years of fishing experience, having started his passion at the age of 12 in the ponds of Kaindy, located in the Panfilov district. Since then, Arthur has tirelessly traveled across Asia, with the goal of catching large fish.

Under the name "Asian Wanderer," he shares his fishing adventures. In early September, Sedov spoke about his journey to the Indian Ocean, where he hoped to catch a shark: read here.

Previously, he also shared his achievements on the Ili River, where he managed to catch trophy specimens: a 4 kg snakehead and a 20 kg catfish.

Now, while in India, Arthur has formed an unusual friendship with a giant catfish.

“I stumbled upon an abandoned well near my home and, exploring it, discovered a catfish over a meter long. It’s unclear how it ended up in the well, what conditions contributed to its growth, and what it has been feeding on. I named it Kolodchik and started feeding it small fish and squid. Now it comes to me at the sound of my voice,” shared A. Sedov about his experience.

“Watching the catfish find fish in the dark is really fascinating,” added the fisherman.
