The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic has explained how to obtain or renew a commercial driver's license (CDL) in the United States of America.
The agency noted that there are strict rules for obtaining and renewing a CDL in the USA.
According to the guidelines from the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, the right to obtain or renew a CDL is generally granted to:
- U.S. citizens;
- green card holders (permanent legal residents of the USA);
- foreigners in the country on special work visas.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic strongly recommends that citizens clarify the requirements in the authorized state agencies in advance, monitor the validity of their documents, and consider possible changes in federal regulations.
