Representatives of Jorge Masvidal have opened the door for a match against the Irishman if the previously scheduled fight with Michael Chandler does not take place.
Ali Abdel-Aziz, Masvidal's manager and head of Dominance MMA, noted that organizing such a fight would not be difficult and could generate significant interest among fans. Additionally, the upcoming tournament at the White House may be timed to coincide with the 250th anniversary of the United States, which adds special symbolism and appeal from a promotional standpoint.
Furthermore, Abdel-Aziz suggested an alternative option — a meeting between McGregor and Justin Gaethje, emphasizing that this matchup is of fundamental importance and does not require a title component. He also expressed doubts about whether McGregor will return to the octagon and whether he will retain his previous influence in the UFC.
