The Kochkor Historical and Local Lore Museum is located in the village of Kochkor, Naryn region. It belongs to the 4th category of museums in Kyrgyzstan, with a collection volume of 4,033 items, of which the main collection consists of 1,533 items.
The museum features a wide range of products from Kyrgyz craftsmen, from the 7th century to the present day, as well as items of culture and everyday life of the Kyrgyz people. The museum is small, but it has a separate exhibition dedicated to one of the outstanding residents of the village of Kochkor - ballet artist Cholponbek Bazarbaev, who was awarded the title of People's Artist of the USSR in 1982.
