The Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic has initiated the creation of an atlas of geological, geophysical, and mineralogical maps. According to the department, the second working meeting on this project took place in collaboration with the M.M. Adyshev Institute of Geology at the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
This atlas will become the main scientific cartographic publication that will detail the geological structure of the territory, geophysical characteristics, and mineral potential of the region.
The project involves the publication of the atlas in two volumes in Russian and English, which will make it more accessible to international scientists and investors.
The main goals of creating the atlas are:
- Attracting attention to the geological potential of the country;
- Deepening international scientific cooperation;
- Increasing the attractiveness of the mining industry and subsoil use.
The Ministry of Natural Resources emphasizes that this project will strengthen the scientific and strategic potential of the country and create a foundation for the long-term development of the geological-industrial complex and integration into the international scientific community.
