The National Bank has updated its official exchange rates against the Kyrgyz som as of January 23, 2026. According to the regulator, the current exchange rates are as follows:
- 1 US dollar — 87.4500 soms (unchanged);
- 1 euro — 102.2203 soms (decrease);
- 1 Russian ruble — 1.1409 soms (increase);
- 1 Kazakh tenge — 0.1728 soms (slight increase);
- 1 Chinese yuan — 12.5593 soms (slight increase).
In commercial banks, the average purchase rate for the US dollar is 87.36 soms, while the selling rate is 87.79 soms.
As for the Russian ruble, it is bought in commercial banks for 1.14 soms and sold for 1.16 soms.
