As part of the systematic work on the return of lands and properties that were previously privatized illegally to state ownership, the Directorate for the Management of Sanatorium-Resort, Health and Tourism Facilities, with the active support of the State Committee for National Security, has achieved significant results.
According to the agency, as a result of the measures taken, 25 hectares of land and buildings with a total area of 5,389 square meters have been returned to the state.
It is worth noting that the directorate was established on March 25, 2024. Out of 16 facilities included in the list compiled by the Presidential Administration and the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan, 15 facilities were transferred to the balance of the new directorate.
The previously transferred institutions had been left without proper care for many years, leading to their deterioration and unprofitability due to the lack of necessary repairs. At the time of transfer, their total debt for wages and other mandatory payments amounted to about 90 million soms. Currently, all debts have been settled, and the facilities have started operating profitably due to effective management.
According to reports, in 2023, the facilities under the management of the Federation of Trade Unions generated 248 million soms in revenue (excluding the Workers' Health Fund).
In 2024, the revenues of the facilities managed by the directorate amounted to 486 million soms.
For 2025, it was planned to receive 550 million soms; however, actual revenues exceeded expectations and amounted to 779 million soms, which corresponds to 141% of the established annual plan.
