In 2025, 26 million doses of vaccines were administered in Kyrgyzstan to protect large and small cattle, as well as birds. This information was announced by the Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev during a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh.
According to the minister, there are certain difficulties in the field of private veterinary medicine. There are about 1,600 private veterinarians operating in the country, but their earnings remain low.
Torobaev added that if the state intends to impose responsibilities for control and monitoring on veterinarians, it is necessary to increase their financial support.
In this regard, a project called "Young Veterinarian" has been launched, which aims to provide housing and benefits for specialists working in rural areas. However, as Torobaev emphasized, young veterinarians do not yet show much desire to move to the villages.
