According to forecasts from experts at the Eurasian Development Bank, money transfers to Kyrgyzstan could reach 3.5 billion dollars by 2025. This data was published in the latest weekly macro review of this financial institution.

Analysts note that the volume of transfers this year has set a record, increasing by 16.8% compared to 2024, which is largely explained by inflows from Russia.

According to EDB data, the amount of 3.5 billion dollars corresponds to 15.4% of Kyrgyzstan's gross domestic product.

“The increase in inflows in dollar terms was due to the strengthening of the ruble against the dollar by 24% by the end of 2025, while the exchange rate of the som to the dollar remained virtually unchanged. This, in turn, contributes to the growth of domestic demand, which increased by 17.8% in 2025,” the macro review states.
