According to the government decree adopted on April 28, 2025, the interest rate on loans for connecting to gas networks and for purchasing equipment for gas heating has been reduced from 8% to 3% per annum.
The Ministry of Energy reported that this program includes preferential loans that can reach up to 150,000 soms. Financing is provided through "Aiyl Bank" and "Eldik Bank" using funds from the republican budget.
In 2025, 146 citizens have already benefited from these loans, with a total amount of 18.082 million soms.
According to OJSC "Gazprom Kyrgyzstan," 33 billion soms have been invested in the development of gas infrastructure. The level of gasification in the country has increased from 22% in 2014 to 44% in 2025, and the total number of subscribers has reached 444,000.
In Bishkek, gasification has covered 54 residential areas, allowing more than 51,000 subscribers to connect. Of these, 36,000 homes have switched to gas heating, which has contributed to a reduction in coal consumption by more than 100,000 tons per year.
Gasification projects aim to improve the environmental situation and reduce air pollution. Citizens wishing to obtain a preferential loan can contact "Aiyl Bank" or "Eldik Bank."
