
As part of the cooperation between the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic (KR) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), key aspects related to the development of electromobility were discussed. The meeting, held on February 26, was organized with the participation of Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications B. Mombekov, who met with representatives of the ADB.
The focus of the meeting participants was on issues related to the creation of infrastructure for charging stations, modernization of the railway sector, and the implementation of digital technologies in the transport field.
Particular attention was paid to the need for improving the regulatory framework to support electric transport and create favorable conditions for its development.
Additionally, ideas for implementing road condition monitoring systems, using intelligent solutions and information analytics, as well as developing mechanisms for priority investment considering safety, climate resilience, and technical condition criteria were discussed. An important aspect was also the use of meteorological stations and mobile laboratories to monitor the state of road infrastructure.
ADB representatives expressed their readiness to provide international experience and tools that can enhance the efficiency of road network management.
