On March 1, 2026, the State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic completed its campaign to legalize jewelry.
According to the press service of the State Tax Service, during this initiative, 942 entrepreneurs registered jewelry worth approximately 16.8 billion soms and issued 1,604 electronic invoices.
In the process of legalization, information about jewelry for which there were no documents confirming their origin was added to the tax service's database.
Representatives of the State Tax Service noted that this will ensure more effective control and accounting of the turnover of goods in this area.
Moreover, the campaign has become an important step towards improving tax administration, increasing transparency in the economy, and strengthening trust in economic reforms.
It should be reminded that this campaign was carried out as part of the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic "On measures to support certain sectors of the economy."
