In Kyrgyzstan, over 34,000 crimes were recorded in 2025

According to information presented by the Prosecutor General Maksat Asanaliev at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee, 34,467 crimes were recorded in Kyrgyzstan in 2025. He presented a report on the activities of the General Prosecutor's Office for the past year.

He stated that compared to 2024, the crime rate decreased by 5.2% or 1,885 cases.

Of the total number of crimes, 29,168 were classified as minor and medium severity, 4,197 as serious, and 1,102 as particularly serious. The most common crimes were against private property, accounting for 23,572 or 68.4% of the total. Crimes against individuals made up 3,830 (11.1%). In total, 22,340 people were recognized as involved in committing crimes, among which 12,851 were held accountable, while criminal prosecution was terminated against 9,480. Among those held criminally liable, 2,801 were women, 1,814 were children, and 412 were foreign citizens," added the Prosecutor General.
