Today in Batken, a solemn ceremony was held for raising the national flag. This event was announced at the regional representative office.
Officials present at the event included the authorized representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Batken region, Aibek Shamenov, the mayor of the city, Seytek Kulubaev, as well as heads of local agencies and residents of the city.
In his address to those gathered, the head of the region congratulated the citizens, emphasizing that the raising of the flag of the Kyrgyz Republic symbolizes our independence and hope for a better future. He urged all Kyrgyzstani people to show love for their homeland and recognize their responsibility.
The installation of the new 35-meter flagpole and the improvement of the surrounding area were part of the project for the reconstruction of the "Zhashtyk" and "Zhenish" parks. The work was carried out by the ARIS organization as part of the "Regional Economic Development of Batken Region" program.
