Changes have been made to the rules
In Kyrgyzstan, the requirements for knowledge of the state language for civil servants have been raised. The Cabinet of Ministers adopted changes to resolution No. 189 dated April 4, 2022, which defines standard qualification requirements for state and municipal employees.
The obligation to possess the Kyrgyz language at the level established by regulatory acts is now enshrined for a number of categories of administrative positions. The requirement for knowledge of the official language in the volume necessary for the performance of official duties is also maintained.
The initiators of the changes indicated that this decision is aimed at strengthening the position of the state language in the field of public administration and improving the quality of administrative activities.
