21.5 Thousand Tons of Fertilizers Imported to Kyrgyzstan Out of Required 96.2 Thousand Tons

On January 20, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan announced the start of work on the import of mineral fertilizers. It is expected that by 2026, the agricultural sector of the country will require 182.8 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers:

96.2 thousand tons of nitrogen (needed for spring fieldwork);

71.5 thousand tons of phosphorus;

15.2 thousand tons of potassium.

By January 20, 2025, 21.5 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers had already been imported into the republic. Currently, private companies have 19.2 thousand tons of these fertilizers in stock, ready for sale.
