- In 2025, 1.8 million tons of grain were harvested in Kyrgyzstan from areas covering 605.9 thousand hectares. This data is presented in the reports of the Ministry of Economy of the country.

The volume of harvested grain (excluding rice, buckwheat, and legumes) decreased by 14.2% compared to 2024.

The average yield was about 29 centners per hectare, which is largely related to low indicators in the Chui, Talas, and Batken regions. In particular, in the Chui region, the wheat yield fell by 17.3 centners per hectare, while barley decreased by 14.3 centners per hectare. In the Talas region, the decline was 9.7 centners per hectare for wheat, 5.5 centners per hectare for barley, and 1.3 centners per hectare for leguminous crops.

The main reasons for the decline in grain production in 2025 were the lack of irrigation water and dry conditions in spring and summer compared to the previous year. It was also noted that some agricultural crops matured 2–3 weeks earlier than usual, which contributed to an earlier start of the harvesting campaign and affected the volumes of collection.

Furthermore, in 2025, a decrease in the gross harvest of several other agricultural crops was recorded: wheat production decreased by 26.8%, barley by 26.5%, sugar beet by 43.7%, tobacco by 44.2%, cotton by 49.2%, oilseeds by 11.7%, legumes by 3.6%, and potatoes by 1.7%.

Nevertheless, the gross harvest of corn for grain increased by 5.1%, rice by 17%, vegetables by 11.3%, fruit and berry crops by 17.5%, and melons by 7.1%. This allowed the overall gross harvest of agricultural products to be maintained at 100.2%.

In 2025, support for the agricultural sector from the state continued. According to preliminary data, more than 11 billion soms were allocated for these purposes. Support expanded through the implementation of various projects. As part of the project "Development of Seed Production and Nurseries in the Kyrgyz Republic," a preferential loan of 15.8 million soms was provided in 2025. Additionally, under the project "Development of Breeding Livestock," preferential loans totaling 584.1 million soms were issued, while the project "Financing of United Producers" allocated 218.2 million soms in the form of preferential loans.

Moreover, under the project "Financing of Agriculture - 13," preferential loans were received by 6,487 rural producers, with a total amount of funds issued reaching 4.1 billion soms. The implementation of these programs significantly impacts the development of the agricultural sector, supporting local producers and improving financial conditions for agricultural activities.

The contribution of agricultural production to the gross domestic product of Kyrgyzstan in 2025 amounted to 0.19 percentage points, while the share of agriculture in the GDP structure reached 8%.
