During the visit of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Head of the Presidential Administration, Adylbek Kasymaliev, to the M. Adyshev Institute of Geology, which is part of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, the aim was to familiarize himself with its work.
During the visit, key aspects of the institute's scientific research activities, current projects, and the contributions of scientists to the study of the country's mineral resource potential and the development of geological science were presented.
Kasymaliev inspected the institute's library and unique exhibits in the museum, including dinosaur remains found in Kyrgyzstan, and studied the working spaces and laboratories.
The institute focuses on fundamental and applied scientific research in the fields of regional geology, mineral resources, physical geography, geoecology, and engineering geology.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers emphasized the importance of scientific research in the field of geology for the sustainable socio-economic growth of the country and highlighted the need to support both fundamental and applied sciences.
He also noted that ministries should enhance their interaction with scientific institutions to implement modern technologies and improve the effectiveness of addressing current issues in their respective fields.
During the discussions, emphasis was placed on research projects, training scientific personnel, ensuring the material and technical base, and the prospects for the further development of the institute.
As a result of the visit, instructions were given to the relevant state bodies.
