In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, an important meeting was held dedicated to the issues of teacher training and their qualifications, organized by the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the ministry, the meeting discussed aspects of training teaching staff, professional development, the implementation of new state and subject standards, as well as strengthening methodological and pedagogical support.
Issues of attracting foreign mentors and trainers, supporting students studying in pedagogical specialties, and training teachers proficient in English in the STEM field were also considered.
Edil Baisalov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, emphasized that teachers are the main element of the education system. He noted that the training and professional development of teachers should become a priority of state policy and stressed the need for coordinated work among all stakeholders in this area.
Minister of Education Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva added that it is important to integrate into the international educational space when training teachers, indicating that pedagogical universities should become leaders in reforming the teacher training system.
