A resident of a high-rise building in Bishkek contacted the Kaktus.media Call Center.

She reported that during the summer and autumn months of last year, the Family Medicine Center No. 5 began returning patients' medical records in paper format due to the transition to electronic outpatient cards. Representatives of the family medicine center went door-to-door distributing documents. However, not all patients received their cards, and the remaining stacks were handed over to neighbors for further distribution through building chats.

“Recently, the neighbors who ended up with these medical cards reminded us in the chat about the need to collect them. Isn’t this a violation of medical confidentiality?” she asked in her inquiry.

The editorial team of Kaktus.media reached out to the clinic's management for a comment. The institution confirmed that this is indeed a violation, as each patient was required to personally receive their outpatient card and sign for its receipt. The Family Medicine Center promised to investigate the situation and take action against those responsible if the fact is confirmed.
