The legality of the operation of the gas station on Alymbek-Datka Street in Osh will be reassessed. This was reported by representatives of the city mayor's press service.

In connection with this situation, today the leadership of Osh, along with employees of the relevant services, conducted an inspection on the specified street, which falls under the municipal territorial management of Sulayman-Too.

During the raid, Mayor Jenishbek Toktorbaev emphasized that the gas station located near the city bus station poses a threat to the safety of local residents. He instructed the relevant services to re-evaluate the feasibility of its location and to ensure the landscaping and greening of the area around the station as soon as possible.

As noted by the mayor's office, these measures are aimed at improving urban infrastructure, creating comfortable conditions for citizens, and enhancing safety.

It is worth reminding that in 2025, two gas stations on I. Monueva Street, one on A. Shakirova Street, and another on N. Isanova Street were already dismantled in Osh, as they were deemed illegal.

Additionally, earlier on January 29, 2025, the city mayor's office reported the start of dismantling works for the gas stations "MPA" and "Red Petroleum" at the intersection of Y. Monueva and A. Shakirova Streets. At that time, the "Red Petroleum" station continued its operations, while the "Red Petroleum" on Y. Monueva Street was closed, but dismantling had not yet begun. Meanwhile, work on the demolition of the roof at "MPA" had already started.

On January 27, 2025, Toktorbaev also mentioned the relocation of gas stations that are located in dangerous proximity to the under-construction two-level transport interchange at the intersection of Y. Monueva, A. Alimjanov, and A. Shakirova Streets. The mayor expressed concern that these gas stations not only pose a safety threat but also contribute to traffic congestion.

The head of the city's capital construction department, Shumkarbek Paiziev, confirmed that the interchange project does not include the relocation or demolition of gas stations.

The capital construction department had previously announced a tender for repair work on the section of the street from Monueva to Masaliyev, including the construction of a transport interchange at the intersection of Shakirova and Alimjanov Streets. The total amount of the tender was 317 million 886 thousand 50 soms. Two companies participated in the competition, and the winner was the company "Grand City," which offered to complete the work for 269 million 79 thousand 946 soms.

It was previously reported that as part of the construction of the two-level transport interchange, 13 objects were slated for demolition.
