According to information received from eyewitnesses, the incident took place on February 1 at approximately 22:30.
The press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Chui region reported that at 00:25 on February 2, 2026, information was received in the duty unit of the Issyk-Ata District Department of Internal Affairs from the district hospital about two individuals injured as a result of the traffic accident. The information was registered, and an investigation was initiated.
During the investigation, it was established that on February 2 at 00:03, on the 24 km + 300 m of the Bishkek—Torugart highway, driver A.I., born in 2000, behind the wheel of a "Volkswagen Passat," traveling from west to east, lost control. As a result, a collision occurred with a "Toyota Camry," driven by M.T., also born in 2000. The collision caused the front left wheel of the "Toyota Camry" to hit a "Honda CR-V," which was being driven by T.A., born in 2006, damaging the left side of the car's roof.
As a result of this incident, passenger A.A. of the "Toyota Camry," born in 1990, as well as driver A.I. of the "Volkswagen Passat," were transported to the Issyk-Ata District Territorial Hospital by ambulance. Unfortunately, the driver of the "Volkswagen Passat" soon passed away.
All necessary forensic examinations will be conducted in this case. The investigation is currently ongoing to clarify all the circumstances of the incident. Based on the results of the investigation, a procedural decision will be made in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic," the press service's statement said.
